Bad news for any avid travelers: cruise lines continue to extend the suspensions of cruises until 2021 as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

The shipping industry initially experienced a quiet period after the disease control and prevention centers posted and expanded its non-shipping order as the coronavirus pandemic began to rise in 2020. But after months of waiting, the CDC replaced its mandatory break in October with the “Framework for Conditional Sailing Order”, a list of strict requirements required for the use of cruise lines.

Despite this order and the forthcoming debut of several cruise ships over the next few years, the return of the voyages remains in battle. At present, no major U.S. cruises will sail until early March, but many cruise lines continue to push back its cruise dates as the coronavirus pandemic continues to escalate in the US.
