Another big name pass rusher is off the board. Former Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher Bud Dupree is on his way to Tennessee to play for the Titans, according to reports from Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora confirms the move on day 1 of legal tampering for the NFL-free agency.

Dupree has apparently agreed to a $ 82.5 million five-year deal.

Dupree is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last season, and NFL teams, according to NFL Network Ian Rapoport, were not worried about the pass roster’s health. Rapoport also reported that Dupree’s recovery is going ‘very well’ after suffering the injury towards the end of the Steelers’ week 12 win over the Ravens.

Dupree was the 23rd player on CBS Sports NFL Insider Pete Prisco’s free agent position.

The Steelers decided to pick up Dupree’s fifth-year option ahead of the 2019 season and were rewarded with Dupree’s best season to date. Dupree’s success in the 2019 season led to the Steelers franchise marking him in 2020. Over his last 27 games, Dupree has conceded 19.5 bags, 24 tackles for loss, six forced fumbles and two fumble records. During his first six seasons, Dupree recorded 39.5 sacks, 54 tackles for loss, eight forced fumbles and three fumble repairs.

Dupree will now join a Titans group that wants to take the next step in the AFC.
