While Youtube is full of all sorts of ridiculous content, POV driving videos and vehicle reviews can be very helpful, especially if done well. This has become increasingly true in the midst of a global pandemic, and at a time when new EVs are coming on the market but not necessarily available for test rides yet. That said, this Ford Mustang Mach-E POV test drive and review is a great resource.
The Mach-e is a brand new electric crossover with Mustang DNA. Ford has developed it to compete with the Tesla Model Y electric crossover, as well as the popular Tesla Model 3. As expected, the Mustang Mach-E places a great deal of emphasis on performance, which is probably an advantage that Tesla has over most other EVs available today. Apart from maybe very expensive EVs like the Porsche Taycan.
The review focuses on the Mach-E Premium AWD. The price as tested is $ 56,440, including the destination. YouTube channel TheTopher provides the following information about its Mach-E test car:
- MPGe: motorway 96 city / 84
- 346 hp, eAWD with torque with a torque of 348 lb-ft with a range of 270 miles (88 kWh extended range)
- 0-60 in 4.8 seconds
- MSRP: $ 49,700
- 19 “Alloy wheels with painted pockets
- 88 kWh extended battery
- 225 / 55R19 A / S BSW Bande
- Internal protection package
The video begins with the usual walkthrough, which details its specifications and features. However, it is filmed from a POV perspective, so it is as if you are actually walking around in the car and going to watch for yourself. TheTopher pay particular attention to the Mach-E’s touch screen and inside operation and functions.
After a detailed look at the Mach-E, TheTopher sit in the driver’s seat for a POV drive of the fully electric pony. Overall, he is very impressed with the Mach-E. He says Ford has done a good job of developing the electric Mustang, and it drives like a $ 50,000 to $ 60,000 car, which makes sense because it drives a $ 56,000 electric car.
