1,703 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Iowa, another 69 deaths

EDITOR’S NOTE: The daily numbers we report do not match the numbers the state reports for each day. Every day at 10:00 we take the previous day’s numbers from 10:00 and subtract them from the state with the current numbers at 10:00. Instead of reporting a day later, we want to give you the latest information. For Black Hawk and Linn Counties, we report numbers from their COVID-19 sites. For Johnson and Dubuque counties, we report numbers from the state’s website.

IOWA

(KWWL) – There were 1 703 new, confirmed cases from 10:00 to Wednesday 10:00 according to the state’s dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 280,303.

The state’s website says that of the 280,303 people who tested positive, 238,977 recovered. That is 2,321 more recoveries than the state reported Wednesday.

The state’s death toll is 3,891, which is 69 more than was reported yesterday.

If you subtract the number of repairs (238,977) and the number of deaths (3,891) from the total number of cases (280,303), there are currently 37,435 positive cases in the state.

There have been 76 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 600, which has decreased from 612. Of the hospitalizations, 134 are in the ICU (from 127) and 69 in ventilators (versus 66).

In Iowa, 4,137 new tests were taken in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,350,888 1,355,025 people were tested on COVID-19. The positivity rate of the last 24 hours (1,703 positive tests divided by 4 137 tests given) is 41.1 percent.

BLACK HAWK LAND

The numbers for Black Hawk County have remained the same since Tuesday at 10 p.m.

From 10:00 Thursday is the Black Hawk COVID-19 Dashboard shows 162 new cases since Tuesday 10:00, the last time we updated with new numbers. The province has a total of 13,559 cases (12,747 PCR and antigen-positive cases and 812 Serology-positive cases). There have been 146 new recoveries in the country since Tuesday, a total of 11,241. There were three additional deaths, leaving a total of 218 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 12.1 percent.

LINN COUNTY

From 10:00 Thursday is the Linn County COVID-19 Dashboard shows 59 new cases since Wednesday 10:00, leaving a total of 16 542 cases. There were 123 more repairs left, leaving a total of 14,252 repairs. There is another death, which left a total of 245 deaths. There are currently 32 patients in the country in the hospital. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 8.6 percent.

JOHNSON COUNTY

According to the state dashboard at 10 a.m. Thursday, there have been 70 new positive cases in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Wednesday. This brings the total to 11 089 reported cases. There were 67 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 9,812 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 47 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 8.9 percent.

DUBUQUE-LAND

According to the state dashboard at 10:00 Thursday There have been 27 new positive cases in Dubuque County since Wednesday 10:00. This brings the total to 10 582 reported cases. 50 additional recoveries were reported, leaving a total of 9,447. Another death was reported, leaving a total of 136 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 9.7 percent.
