Magic: The Gathering Arena

Android Police coverage: Magic: The Gathering Arena enters early access on Android

While it’s surprising that Magic: The Gathering has been absent on mobile devices all along, it’s clear that Arena game is now comparable to the PC app, now that the game has finally moved to Android. This way, mobile users can stop where they left off while around. So if you love MtG or are looking for a great place to start, early access to Magic: The Gathering Arena is a great place to pick up the basics. The game facilitates players with the help of a useful tutorial, and you do not have to worry about buying packs of physical cards to learn the ropes.

Slashy Kamp

Slashy Camp comes from the creators of Slayaway Camp, one of my favorite puzzle games of 2017. As you can imagine, I was delighted to hear that there was a new game from this developer, although I can not say another endless runner not the Play Store aroused my interest so much. Fortunately, this version retains many of the components that made the first title so popular, such as sliding on a level to kill campers. In fact, the endless running mechanic simply serves to make this game endless, while trying your best to kill as many people as possible in each run. I’m also glad to see that the game deserves fair.

pink

Pink is the latest puzzle game from Bart Bonte and is part of his colorful series of games. In this particular version, there are 50 puzzles to solve, and these are all logical puzzles, so you need to bring your mindset with you if you want to solve it. Tips are available if you get stuck, and if you prefer a premium experience, you can pay to remove the game ads.

Monetization: Free / Contains Ads / IAPs $ 1.99 each

Mystic Hammer

Mystic Hammer is basically a Plants Vs. Zombies clone, but it is a capable and came from PC to Android this week. So it plays at its core like a tower defense game, where you defend each lane against the enemies of the title. There are 50 levels to explore, and thanks to a healthy dose of RPG mechanics, there’s enough depth here to keep people busy for a while.

Average games

Titles that may not be the best of the best, but still offer fun and interesting mechanics

Mythopia

Micetopia offers excellent graphics for a mobile Metroidvania title, but unfortunately the game suffers from too much backtracking and other short-lived design choices. Since this is a port that is only new to Android, there are reviews, and it’s not very positive, and after playing a bit, I have to say I agree. It would seem that this is just another unnamed Indie title that Metroidvania recently transferred to Android. Fortunately, the asking price is not that bad, and since it is a premium release that offers a low price, it is not as if gambling on this title will break the bank. Just do not expect a groundbreaking Metroidvania, and it will probably go well.

Monetization: $ 3.99 / no ads / no IAPs

321 Shooting Range

321 Shootout is a pleasant looking first person arena based shooter. It offers fast action, requiring quick reflexes, as you would expect from an arena shooter. So if you’ve been waiting to scratch your twitch shooter itch on cell phone, 321 Shootout this week is a great choice. Best of all, it earns revenue properly, so you do not have to worry about offensive purchases in the app. While it’s clear that this is an indie affair that could use a little more polish, the game is free so everyone can watch as they please.

Monetization: Free / Ads / IAPs $ 0.99 each

GameApart: Game Night Digital take

GameApart is an older version, but since I would not discuss it yet, I thought it would be a great time to highlight a title that offers a mini-game collection that remotely shares with friends and family can be played via apps like Skype and Meet. This version works much like the Jackbox titles, where the app handles the game content, with everyone participating in the game through a locally installed version of the app, while somehow using a separate app used. While some errors still occur, such as ads interrupting your sessions, the developers are working on these issues.

HIDDEN COUNTRIES – Visual Mysteries

Hidden Lands is a colorful puzzle game where you have the task of spotting the difference between two pictures as you dive into some hidden object mechanics. So yeah, it’s a simple game, but it looks nice, and there’s a bit of fun as you move through the 100 quests of the title. Unfortunately, the game’s ads can be annoying, and the lack of introduction will make some people guess what to do, and not that it’s hard to figure things out quickly.

DRAKE QUESTION RATE

Android Police coverage: Dragon Quest Tact is the latest gacha game from Square Enix, now available on Android

Dragon Quest Tact is an older game that has been around in Japan for some time, but it just got an English release this week. Since it’s an older title, show its age, especially since it’s a dated gachas game that’s almost not with the new King Genshin Impact, but if you’re a hard Dragon Quest nut, you might like the theme. enjoy. Of course, you’ll be dealing with greedy income and bad game balancing, a stack of games like these that Dragon Quest Tact does not avoid.

BLESS MOBILE

Bless is the latest MMO that has released a mobile interpretation in the Play Store, and just like this rest, it’s an automated play money, where many Play Store reviews mention that the game in the US is already a rough start. So not only is it an older title that has just made its way, it also suffers from the constant server shuffle that plagues similar titles. In essence, this title brings nothing new to the table, and it repeats the same mistakes as the rest, making for another mobile MMO that can be easily skipped.

Stellar Hunter

Stellar Hunter is a new version we discussed last year when it had early access. This is a space-themed RPG with roguelike mechanics, and although these terms are often used to describe just about every Android game ever made, it’s no surprise to see that this title plays just like the others . This means that at the bottom of the screen you will type your movements while exploring a team of 4 alien planets while constantly fighting with alien enemies. As you’d expect, Stellar Hunter is poorly monetized, and it’s still meager, despite the recent stable release.

Infinite Kingdom

Infinity Kingdom describes itself as an MMO strategy game, but since it’s a mobile title, it’s all that does not accurately describe what this game offers. In fact, it’s a PvP-oriented title that changes server almost monthly. In fact, whales can simply camp the game servers, which means free players will not have great cannon fodder for these rich camp whales. It’s painfully clear that this game is worth winning.

Monetization: Free / No Ads / IAPs from $ 0.99 – $ 99.99

Hero Craft

Hero Craft is a new voxel game that plays like a sandbox RPG, but each dungeon is procedurally generated, so it’s a roguelite as well. Each dive from the dungeon rewards you with the necessary items to slowly upgrade your character and their equipment so that you will eventually be powerful enough to move through the more challenging content. Unfortunately, the money is poorly earned, and since the voxel design is about as lazy as you can get in the world of indie game design, it’s clearly a cash grab created to lure Minecraft fans.

WTF Game of the Week

Titles that make you say “WTF”

Save the baby!

Save The Baby is an absolutely ridiculous game where you have the task, you advise it, and save a baby from harmful situations, such as sticking out his eyeballs with a traffic cone. You know, regular everyday situations get babies in. As you can see from the photos below, this version is basically a lazy asset flip, but it’s the premise that really shines. After all, who does not want to spend their time making sure that the baby who allowed them to crawl across the street for some strange reason is not creamed by 2 ton vehicles? Clearly, the parents of this baby are criminally irresponsible with their child, making it a perfect WTF presentation.
