New Jersey reported another 1,222 confirmed cases of the coronavirus and 14 additional deaths on Sunday, as the report continues to skew the data.
‘We are aware of an electronic reporting on laboratories that could affect today’s numbers. “These laboratories have been warned and we are working to resolve them as soon as possible,” Murphy said for the second day in a row.
The numbers were announced when officials announced that more than 1 million people had received at least one dose of coronavirus vaccine in New Jersey.
The number of coronavirus patients in New Jersey’s hospitals dropped for the eleventh day in a row, drops to 2,408 Sunday night. This is 36% lower than a recent high of 3,802 on December 23rd.
The nationwide transmission rate was 0.89, compared to 0.86 the previous day. The rate increased three days in a row after gradually declining during the first 11 days of February. If the rate falls below 1, it indicates that the outbreak of the state is slowing down.
Government Phil Murphy announced the update on social media. Monday’s regular coronavirus briefing was canceled due to President’s Day.
The nationwide positivity rate for tests available on Wednesday, the latest day, was 7.24% based on 48,018 tests.
Officials also announced Friday that New Jersey has recorded five new cases of the highly contagious coronavirus variant first discovered in the UK, bringing the state’s total to 38.
New Jersey has now reported 666,399 positive cases of coronavirus out of more than 9.9 million PCR tests in the more than 11 months since the outbreak of the state began. 81,033 positive antigen tests were also performed. These cases are considered likely, and health officials have warned that positive antigen tests may overlap with the confirmed PCR tests, as they are sometimes given at the same time.
The state of 9 million people also reported that 22,466 residents died from complications related to COVID-19 – 20,220 confirmed deaths and 2,246 considered probable.

As of Sunday, 1,372,931 doses of vaccines have been administered in New Jersey. Murphy announced. Of these, 1,003,232 were the first of two doses that people would receive, while 369,113 were the second.
That is out of more than 1.77 million doses the state has received from the federal government, according to a running version from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

HOSPITALIZATIONS
There was 2,408 patients have been admitted to the hospital since Sunday night with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 cases in the 71 hospitals in New Jersey – 41 less than the night before.
This included 513 in critical or intensive care (seven less than the previous evening), with 298 fans (28 less).
According to the state’s dashboard, 310 COVID-19 patients were also discharged on Saturday.
SCHOOL SUBJECTS
According to the latest numbers, New Jersey reported 142 COVID-19 outbreaks in the school, resulting in 671 cases among students, teachers and school staff.
According to the state’s dashboard, the outbreaks – defined as cases in which it was confirmed that people contracted or transmitted the virus in the classroom or during academic activities – were reported.
These numbers do not include students or staff who are suspected of being infected outside the school, or cases that cannot be confirmed as outbreaks in the school. Although the numbers continue to rise every week, Murphy said the statistics for school outbreaks are lower than government officials expected when schools reopened for personal classes.
New Jersey defines school outbreaks as cases where contact detectives determined that two or more students or school staff caught or transmitted COVID-19 in the classroom or during academic activities at school.
There are about 1.4 million students and teachers across the country, although the teaching methods vary amidst the outbreak, some are personal, others are hybrid and others are anything but.
AGE BREAKS OUT
Degraded by age, those aged 30 to 49 form the largest percentage of New Jersey residents who contracted the virus (31%), followed by those aged 50-64 (23.4%), 18-29 (19.4). %), 65 -79 (11%), 5-17 (8.2%), 80 and older (5.1%) and 0-4 (1.7%).
On average, the virus was more deadly to older residents, especially those with a pre-existing condition. Nearly half of COVID-19 deaths were among residents 80 and older (47.36%), followed by 65-79 (32.7%), 50-64 (15.55%), 30-49 ( 4.02%), 18-29 (0.36%), 5-17 (0%) and 0-4 (0.02%).
At least 7,846 of the COVID-19 deaths in the state were among residents and staff members at nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
There are currently active outbreaks at 339 facilities, resulting in 6,940 active cases among residents and 7,148 among staff members.
GENERAL NUMBERS
As of Monday morning, there are more than 108.9 million positive COVID-19 tests worldwide, according to a running score from Johns Hopkins University. More than 2.4 million people have died from coronavirus-related complications.
The U.S. reported the most cases, more than 27.6 million, and the most deaths, more than 485,300.
