EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) – The public health department in El Paso reported 12 coronavirus-related deaths and 525 new cases on Friday morning.
According to health officials, all 12 of the youngest victims had underlying health conditions, including:
- 1 woman in her 50s
- 2 men in their 60s
- 2 women in their 60s
- 2 men in their 70s
- 5 men in their 80s
The death toll from pandemics in El Paso County increased to 1,636,
There were still 524 deaths being investigated on Thursday. It is believed Covid-19 deaths have yet to be confirmed, although most of the alleged deaths have historically been confirmed by health authorities.
The number of active cases increased from 34,943 to 35,021.
As of Friday morning, there were 471 Covid-19 patients in El Paso’s hospitals, 19 more than Thursday. The number of patients in intensive care increased from 162 to 166.
Since the onset of the pandemic, there have been 109,108 confirmed cases in El Paso, with 71,891 reported recovery.
