105 new cases COVID-19 in Brazos County, 44 residents admitted to hospital

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Brazos County Health District reported 105 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Brazos County. There are currently 1,470 active cases.

No new deaths have been reported in the past 24 hours. There were 181 deaths in Brazos County related to COVID-19.

14,527 patients are classified as recovering, meaning they were fever-free for 72 hours without antipyretic medication, and that was ten days after the onset of symptoms.

40 percent of the newly confirmed cases are from the 18-24 age group.

There have been 3,348 probable cases in Brazos County since June 18, 2020. A probable case of COVID-19 is determined by a positive antigen test. Confirmed COVID-19 cases are determined by a positive PCR test. The health district conducts case investigations on all confirmed and probable cases.

There are currently 406 active probable cases and there are 2,942 probable cases recovered.

The total number of confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of testing is 16,178. 166,967 tests were done.

The total occupancy of the hospital bed in Brazos County is 87 percent and the total occupancy on the ICU is 133 percent.

There are currently 44 residents of Brazos County admitted to the hospital for COVID-19.

State Trauma Service Area N

Most of the Brazos Valley falls under areas for trauma services in State N (Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Leon, Madison, Robertson, and Washington counties). Trauma Service Area N currently reports 650 hospital beds with 104 beds available. According to the latest state data, the region has 2 available beds for ICUs and 58 available fans. The latest state update lists 82 COVID-19 patients in the labs currently in hospital.

Texas A&M University

The Texas A&M COVID-19 Dashboard reported 90 new business and 523 active business on February 2nd.

Currently, the university reported 4,890 positive cases, 7.2 percent of the tests came back positive.

The last update of the dashboard was provided on 2 February 2021.
