1000 new repairs, 620 new cases, one death in the last 24 hours

EDITOR’S NOTE: The daily numbers we report do not match the numbers the state reports for each day. Every day at 10:00 we take the previous day’s numbers from 10:00 and subtract them from the current numbers at 10:00 from the state. Instead of reporting a day later, we want to give you the latest information. For Black Hawk and Linn Counties, we report numbers from their COVID-19 sites. For Johnson and Dubuque counties, we report numbers from the state’s website.

IOWA

(KWWL) – There were 620 new, confirmed cases from 10:00 to Sunday 10:00. according to the state’s dashboard, bringing the state’s total number of cases to 274,933.

The state’s website states that of the 274,933 people who tested positive, 228,762 recovered. That is 1,092 more recoveries than the state reported Saturday.

The state’s death toll is 3,745, which is one more than reported yesterday.

If you subtract the number of repairs (228,762) and the number of deaths (3,745) from the total number of cases (274,933), there are currently 42,426 active positive cases in the state.

There have been 71 patients hospitalized in Iowa in the past 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 553, which is lower than 558. Of the hospitalizations, 109 are in the ICU (less than 114) and 65 in ventilators (versus 63).

In Iowa, 1,897 new tests were taken in the last 24 hours, and a total of 1,341,398 people were tested on COVID-19. The positivity rate of the last 24 hours (620 positive tests divided by 1897 tests given) is 32.6 percent.

BLACK HAWK LAND

From 10:00 Sunday the Black Hawk COVID-19 Dashboard show figures from 10:00 on Saturday. With 19 new cases, the province has a total of 13,318 cases (12,520 PCR and antigen-positive cases and 798 Serology-positive cases). There are 32 new repairs in the country, a total of 10,901. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 215 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 10.6 percent.

LINN COUNTY

From 10:00 Sunday the Linn County COVID-19 Dashboard shows 133 new cases since Wednesday 10:00 AM. Leaves a total of 16,362 cases. There were still 352 repairs, leaving a total of 13,752 repairs. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 241 deaths. There are currently 31 patients in the country in the hospital. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 8.2 percent.

JOHNSON COUNTY

According to the state dashboard Sunday at 10 a.m., there have been 37 new positive cases reported in Johnson County since 10 p.m. This brings the total to 10 829 reported cases. There were 47 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 9,513 recoveries. There were no additional deaths, leaving a total of 47 deaths. The average positivity rate of 14 days for the country is 6.9 percent.

DUBUQUE-LAND

According to the state dashboard On Sunday at 10:00 a.m., 13 new positive cases were reported in Dubuque County since 10:00 p.m. This brings the total to 10 442 reported cases. 23 additional recoveries were reported, leaving a total of 9,187. No additional deaths were reported, leaving a total of 135 deaths. The average positive rate of 14 days for the country is 9.4 percent.
