Another chief was killed when health officials reported 347 new cases of coronavirus in the state on Sunday.

So far, 1,099 Mainers have been hospitalized at some point with COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus. Of these, 190 people are currently hospitalized, with 47 in critical care and 20 in ventilators.
An additional 27 people have recovered from the coronavirus, bringing the total number of Mainers who have recovered to 11,438. This means that there are at least 13 768 active cases in the state.
As of Sunday, 32,955 Mainers had been vaccinated against COVID-19, or 2.39 percent of the population.
