Over the years, the Boston Celtics have been a team that has always been a leading part of the Eastern Conference and a legitimate title contender, but they do not seem to realize what the problem is in reaching the NBA Finals. They have not had a chance to fight for a title since 2010, and numerous superstar players brought in have not solved the puzzle. Instead, they remained committed to building Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward, Isaiah Thomas and Al Horford are all big name players who have been part of the Celtics organization over the years and all share the same fate with Boston – no championship.

The two biggest problems Boston has experienced over the years are that they did not have a reliable bank and that their foreland was a disaster. They have not had a reliable man since Kevin Garnett, and although they have some young talent in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, it is no longer enough to have two All-Star players to win a championship. .

Over the years, if you look at the teams that have won championships, they have all had excellent benches and key role players that they can rely on to hit big shots outside of their superstars. This Celtics team literally has no reliable players outside of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker, and therefore the Celtics will not reach the NBA Finals again this year unless they make a big move by the NBA deadline.

They have been linked with Myles Turner for years now in the NBA trade rumors and if the Celtics really want to give themselves the best chance of winning a title this year, they must do everything in their power to acquire Turner before the deadline for the NBA trade.

With that said, let’s look at three reasons why the Boston Celtics should do everything in their power to acquire Myles Turner.
