The Central Puerto Rican Workers’ Office (CPT) has expressed its displeasure at the order issued on December 24, 2020, by Laura Taylor Swain, a judge in order to ban the Governor of Puerto Rico from holding vigor in the ex-governor’s office .
The President of the CPT, Emilio Nieves Torres, forman Gobernador Pedro Pierluisi “defends the Ley 176 of 2019 which restores the holiday license slides and confirms that the vehicle was taken to the workers and legislation of 2017. Nieves Torres added that “the governing body’s law consists in defending the legislative and executive authority of the governor of Puerto Rico over the Tax Control Board and over the Tribunal. In his program of governor Pedro Pierluisi, he agreed to deliver the message to the Junta “in order to recognize that within the scope of section 205 of PROMESA, the governor has the authority to impose public policy without intervention. It is hoped that the Labor Party’s derogation will be complied with, and the governor and legislators will fight the June intervention. The Gobernador and the legislators have the responsibility to defend the public policy approved by the criteria of an economic development based on legislation that implements the social justice for the workers and the people. Respecting the Ley 176 of 2019, the trade union leader came as “absurd and falsifying the position of the June that holiday and sick days have made the labor force less effective. The value is that the reduction of the holiday license from 30 to 15 days is an act that does not value the physical and mental breakdown that requires a worker to renovate as a function of efficient productivity. In addition, vacations promote the familiar, social and cultural values that are necessary in any society ”.

The reality of the pandemic has undermined the importance of recovery and increasing the health license.
