Southern California has opened more sites to COVID-19 vaccine that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. In Los Angeles County, health officials have warned that the province will not be fully vaccinated until next year without more vaccines.
On Saturday night, vaccination sites across the country closed doors and canceled appointments because of frustration over supply problems.
The vaccine crisis comes as scientists are worried that a new, more contagious, British tribe could become dominant in the United States.
This week, Jeff Wilson’s pharmacy in Pittsburgh administered his last dose, not knowing when the state would deliver more. He said: “I asked for 1,000 doses and they could not give me an answer.”

In Texas, receiving doses is like playing the lottery.
“Unfortunately, we do not have enough each week to give to every provider in the state. And that is why we have to choose,” Chris Von Deusen told the Texas Department of Health Services.
Stocks in New York ran dry and in Florida, where there were no rules to prevent temporary snowbirds from getting shots, the governor said non-residents should go elsewhere.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has said they are not getting enough vaccine. “We have places that can do more and we want them to do more and we want to do more,” DeSantis said.
Vaccines, such as those from Charlotte Motor Speedway, have contributed to the spread of the vaccine. The need is urgent: other highly contagious strains have now been detected and health workers are worried about receiving their second dose.
