Top announces 50-card Trevor Lawrence series, including 20 created by QB’s brother and sister-in-law

Star quarterback Trevor Lawrence and Topps have announced an exclusive deal to produce a 50-card set to be released in April.

The 50 trading cards have a unique design, 20 of which are created by Lawrence’s brother, Chase, and sister-in-law, Brooke, who are professional artists. Lawrence is projected to be the first spot in the NFL draft in 2021 next month and is the winning quarterback in Clemson’s history.

“I’m excited to be working with Topps on this truly unique set,” Lawrence said. “Chase and Brooke are extremely talented artists and it’s special to work with them on this design.”

The market for trading cards, especially rookies, has grown over the past year, and demand for Lawrence’s card is likely to increase.

“There are so many things that make Trevor unique, including his incredibly talented family, and Topps was the right partner to bring it to life,” said Alan Zucker, Excel Sports Management partner and Lawrence’s marketing agent.

“This unique collection offers fans a piece of memoranda that they can not find anywhere else.”

The 50-card set contains a mix of oil paintings, digital depictions, autographs and inspiration from previous Topps designs. The 20 maps created by Lawrence’s brother and sister-in-law were inspired by the 1960s and ’70s, as well as comics and graphic novel illustrations.

The exact date of the launch is not yet known, but Topps says it will be in April, close to the time of the draft, which starts on April 29. The Jacksonville Jaguars are widely projected to pick Lawrence with the first overall pick.
