An outside this world hotel is only a few years away from the fact that it is becoming a reality.
According to the group behind it, Orbital Assembly, the construction of humanity’s first hotel ever to begin in outer space.
The 3-year-old company plans to begin construction of the Voyager Station in a low-Earth orbit in 2025, and believes the interstellar resort may be operational as early as 2027, reports Daily Mail.
The versions of the heavenly hotel are cosmically chic: individual pods are attached to a spinning wheel, with tubes connecting the different parts of an X, as if it were the axis of the wheel.
Guests not only pay for the novelty of the area – there are a number of amenities on board, including themed restaurants, a health spa, a cinema, gyms, libraries, concert halls, lounges and bars for the earth. to rooms for 400 people. Requirements, including crew quarters, air, water and power, will also occupy a portion of the spacecraft.
Orbital Assembly also hopes to sell portions of the hotel to permanent stakeholders, including government agencies that want to use the space as a training center or landlords who want to create a villa on board.
It will reportedly orbit the globe every 90 minutes, and the rotation of the circle will generate artificial gravity similar to that on the moon. No construction costs were disclosed.
“This will be the next industrial revolution,” said John Blincow, founder of Gateway Foundation, which according to the Daily Mail manages some of the Voyager pods.
