‘Ted Lasso’ starts filming season 2 – see first photo

Just two weeks in, 2021 was a very already. So, what better way to go about this weekend than to know it Ted Lasso Season 2 is officially underway.

Apple TV + shared a photo on social media Friday night with Brendan Hunt (also known as Coach Beard), title star Jason Sudeikis, and Nick Mohammed (who plays Nate Shelley as guitar assistant coach).

“Time to start warming up the biscuits,” reads the tweet. “Production for @TedLasso Season 2 has officially started!”

Ted Lasso grabbed a bit of all of us, based on a series of amusing, Sudeikis promotions for NBC Sports that aired in 2013. The premise of the series: The American football coach is appointed to manage AFC Richmond, an English manager. football team … despite the fact that they have no football coaching experience.

Called TVLine Ted Lasso one of the 10 best comedies of 2020, while Sudeikis earned an artist of the week for the episode in which the newly divorced Ted had a panic attack. TVLine readers both hosted the first-year finals and Season 1 as a whole, a rare average grade of “A +.”
