Georgia’s spring game, more commonly known as G-Day, is officially in the books with JT Daniels beating the Red Team to 28-23. The junior quarter passed for 324 yards and three wins.
“I’ve improved a lot personally overall and also a lot of guys performing in the reception room,” Daniels said. “There’s a lot better chemistry you see during the spring game compared to the 180, when I first started repeating with the 1s.”

Daniels has made a number of leading plays, including a 24-year-old attack for Adonai Mitchell and a 59-yard strike for Demetris Robertson.

JT Daniels has shown why he is a legitimate Heisman threat today. He uses a beautiful touch to drop a pass between two defenders on a circular route before flicking a good ride and improving the mechanics on a perfect deep ball. UGA fans have good reason to be excited pic.twitter.com/IQJLrX2NqR

However, Daniels was not the only one to turn heads. From Mitchell’s breakout performance to Darnell Washington’s big day, a number of Bulldogs have sparked positive hype.

Year 2 of Darnell Washington is going to be a big nightmare for DBs

Brock Bowers and Darnell Washington at the same time (like the previous play) on the field will be a problem for defense as we come on later in the season.

Carson Beck and Darnell Washington. Explosive game. Then the great second fullback Kendall Milton goes from the right side for 6. DawgNation must look forward to getting a lot more of this. pic.twitter.com/5ODrW4x1Wl

My main G-Day takeaway from the first half: they don’t call Darnell Washington the Big 0 for nothing
– Benjamin Wolk (@benjaminwolk) 17 April 2021
“In terms of his physical development, he has become much smoother in terms of entry and exit,” Daniels said. ‘He always had good instincts, but it got even better for me to understand where the ball was going to be thrown. To understand where his grass is and to really take advantage of its size. β

Washington ended the game with four catches for 84 yards and an attack on the day.
Georgia fans also got their first look at Brock Vandagriff as the five-star eighth-man made his debut. He, along with Carson Beck and Stetson Bennett, will compete for the rugby quarterback this fall.

The national media also took note of Georgia’s spring game, with great praise that Daniels addressed and what he could possibly bring to the Georgia offense.
The Bulldogs participated 4-0 last season with Daniels as an appetizer because he hit ten times in that win.
Lastly, # Day@ jtdaniels06 is not who you think he is. One of the most impressive player meetings @SecWknd crew. Organized, detailed, laser-oriented. Has the ability & cast. Offense gives him a chance to thrive.

G-Day takeaways:
-This team is physically different than almost everyone else they will play. OT, DT, CB, TE, Star … guys who just do not look like ordinary soccer players in universities.
-OL needs to grow, lots of talent, but chemistry and continuity are not there
-WR will be good

JT Daniels displayed their entire skill during the ride. Touch, zipper, vision in the field, mobility in the pocket and reading.
– Josh Pate (@LateKickJosh) 17 April 2021
GEORGIA: JT Daniels is still progressing, he was excellent and dropped big at QB behind him. Adonai Mitchell’s performance is great. Darnell Washington, Kendall Milton advances; contributes to the wealth of weapons of UGA. Zamir White runs nice tough on the goal line.

It’s time to start talking to your kids about the fact that Kirby Smart has a first class star QB. https://t.co/ObMUvczc1s
– Stewart Mandel (@slmandel) 17 April 2021
Georgia coach Kirby Smart also presented his thoughts on the day.
“Has a long way to go where we need to go,” Smart said. ‘We need to find depth in some positions and in some other positions we need to get better. “
The Bulldogs have plenty of time to put things together, as Georgia will have another 140 days until they tackle the field against the Clemson Tigers next time. The match, which is set to be a top-10 team match, will be hosted on September 4 in Charlotte, NC.
