The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for North Texas that will take effect Sunday at 6 p.m.
A cold front would move through the area, and the weather service warned that some storms could deliver heavy hail and gusts up to 70 mph.
According to the weather service, the possibility of tornadoes could not be ruled out.

In an update on Twitter around 11 a.m., the weather service said a storm moving northeast through Denton County could produce nickel magnitude.
“If it continues to intensify, the hail size is expected to increase,” the weather service said.
After the cold front moved through, the threat of severe weather is expected to subside, said Jason Dunn, a weather service meteorologist.
