Scottish woman bit the man’s tongue in noise – then the seagull ate it

He leaked.

A Scottish woman has bitten off part of a man’s tongue in a wild street fight – and a seagull immediately sucked and ate it, authorities said in a report.

According to a prosecutor quoted by the Edinburgh Evening News, Bethaney Ryan, 27, had an argument with stranger James McKenzie on August 1, 2019 in Edinburgh.

After McKenzie walked towards Ryan with a clenched fist, she kissed him in an inexplicable way – then he chopped off a piece of 3 to 2 inches from his tongue, prosecutor Susan Dickson told the Sheriff Court on Thursday said in Edinburgh.

“She kissed him on his lips and bit him through the barrel of his tongue, causing a piece of his tongue to be removed,” Dickson told the court.

After spitting out a bloody piece of organ, a bird plucked it from the ground and ate it, making an attachment operation impossible.

“Mr McKenzie walked away and spat out part of his tongue, after which the piece of muscle was picked up by a large seagull that had contracted the piece of tongue,” Dickson said.

McKenzie was treated for ‘tearing his tongue’ after it started ‘bleeding’, the prosecutor said.

“He did not need any surgery as the piece of tongue was no longer available and could not be reattached,” the prosecutor said.

According to the office, Ryan, who was arrested, pleaded guilty to the assault on Thursday. It was not immediately clear what the argument was between her and McKenzie.
