Princess Latifa of Dubai, who was imprisoned by her father after an escape attempt in 2018, asked British police more than 20 years ago to investigate the abduction of her sister, Princess Shamsa. In a letter written in 2019, but only passed on to Cambridgeshire police and the BBC this week, Princess Latifa wrote that if British law enforcement investigates the abduction of her sister, who is targeting their father Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum ‘s request was made, it could lead to Shamsa being released. Shamsa was abducted from a street in Cambridge during an escape attempt at 18. Last week, cellphone videos of Princess Latifa appearing that she did not have access to fresh air or sunlight and were being kept under police surveillance.
