Police investigate fatal crash at Clinton and Grove

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) – Fort Wayne police report one and the other in life-threatening conditions following an accident Saturday morning.

The accident allegedly took place around 8 a.m. in Clinton Street.

Police say a fire truck responded to a call when drivers saw another car driving “too fast for the weather”.

According to authorities, the car then hit a curb and got out of control before hitting the fire truck.

Police tell us that the passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver was taken to hospital with life-threatening conditions.

Officials say no one in the fire truck was injured.

Police cordoned off both Clinton and Grove for more than three hours.
