Packers WR Davante Adams Becomes Newest Member of Madden’s 99 Club

Green Bay Packers receiver Davante Adams is officially the newest member of the “99 Club”, an exclusive group with all the virtual players scoring 99 overall in the Madden NFL video game franchise.

Teammate Aaron Rodgers welcomes Adams into the club with the video above.

“It’s time,” Rodgers said. “You’ll finally get the money you deserve, my husband.”

“One-seven is officially in the 99 club,” Adams said.

Adams joins Los Angeles defense lineman Aaron Donald, the Carolina Panthers run back, Christian McCaffrey, Arizona Cardinals receiver, DeAndre Hopkins, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore , and Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce in the “99 Club.”

Adams started the season at 94 overall. He has been bumped by one point all five different times and was recently improved overall in Week 13 to 98.

In just 13 games this season, Adams has 109 catches for 1,328 yards and an NFL-high 17 touchdown. He had three more attacks against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

The honor included a “99” necklace.

‘I think the necklace is the same color as a jacket that you may wear here in a decade or so. I hope you like that color, because it looks good on you, ”Rodgers said, referring to Adams’ potential to be a Pro Football Hall of Famer.

Rodgers joined the “99 Club” during the 2018 season.

“I’ve done a lot of work for this, so I’m glad it’s bearing fruit and I’m glad it’s being recognized,” Adams said.

The Packers currently have five players who have scored 90 or better overall: Adams (99), left-back David Bakhtiari (96), Rodgers (95), cornerback Jaire Alexander (93) and full-back Aaron Jones (90).
