Sedgwick says that was about the time she filmed ‘AA Few Good Men’ with him in 1989 in the film ‘Born on the Fourth of July’ with Cruise and her husband, Kevin Bacon.
She told Barrymore: “I was pregnant, I was very pregnant, and we were invited to dinner. We were invited to dinner with many famous people like Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, because she was in [A Few Good Men]. Rob Reiner was there, it was a stream, and Nicole [Kidman] was there. It was one of those nights that I was not invited to regularly. ‘
They were there to show some good men ‘. Sedgwick said she could not help herself and began sneaking through Cruise’s home, which of course led to trouble.
“There was a fireplace mantel, and I looked around and there was this little button under the mantle. I was like, ‘Oh, what’s that little button? So I pressed the little button, because I thought maybe something interesting would happen. Nothing happened, and then I got a little nervous. ‘
Cruise was in the middle of the conversation when she was clean about what she was doing.
“He says, ‘This is the panic button,'” Sedgwick said. ‘And so the police came, they had to stop the show, they had to see Tom. I think there were more than five cop cars, that was something. ‘
And she has not been there since.
“I was not invited back,” she said.
