Kim Kardashian calls Northwest’s Bob Ross-inspired painting a ‘classic’

Northwest joins the ranks of ‘classical’ artists, at least she is in the eyes of mother Kim Kardashian.

Kardashian immortalized her daughter’s Bob Ross-inspired painting – which caused a stir over its authenticity a few weeks ago – in her social media feed.

“Just post this BC, it’s a North West Classic!” the proud mom, 40, wrote along with a photo of the artwork on Tuesday.

Earlier this month, TikTok user Camryn Fred launched the popular social media app shortly after fans began asking if the 7-year-old North could pick up the painting, explaining that West had indeed painted the impressive work under Fred’s commission mother, an art teacher.

“My mom taught me how to do it, and she taught North two weeks ago how to do the same thing,” Fred revealed. “She’s been an art teacher for 30 years, and everyone who comes to her classes goes through the same painting they started.”

Before Fred came to the child’s defense, Kardashian herself spoke to her daughter.

“DO NOT PLAY WITH ME IF IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN !!!” said the Skims founder at the time on her Instagram story. “My daughter and her best friend followed a serious oil painting class where their talents and creativity are encouraged and nurtured.”

“North worked incredibly hard on her painting, which took a few weeks to complete,” she continued. “As a proud mother, I wanted to share her work with everyone. I see up-pieces in the media and social media of adults breaking down whether my child actually painted it. How dare you see kids doing amazing things and then try to accuse them of NOT being fantastic!?!?! ”
