Kevin Durant loves Steph Curry’s circus-and-1 shot against Celtics

Steph Curry has taken his game to another level over the past few weeks, and the Warriors star did something on Saturday that got the attention of former teammate Kevin Durant.

Late in the first half of the Warriors game against the Boston Celtics in TD Garden, Curry hooked up a 22-foot circus while being tainted by Grant Williams.

Durant and the Brooklyn Nets had a free night so he was able to adjust the countdown, and he was amazed at his former running mate.

Even Eric Paschall, the injured Warriors forward, was impressed by Curry’s shot.

With a subsequent tweet, Durant tries to claim that he is praising an And-1 game from Kelta guard Kemba Walker, but the timing of Durant’s first tweet matches the timing of Curry, not a play by Walker.

By the way, Curry’s bucket draws him level with Warriors legend Chris Mullin for 78th place on the NBA’s all-time standings. Curry is past the Hall of Famer with the free throw.

Curry took part in the game against the Celtics on Saturday with a ridiculous 39 points per game in eight April games and exceeded the 30-point threshold in Boston.

Without Durant and an injured Klay Thompson, some experts wondered if Curry could thrive as in previous years. The two-time NBA MVP has put the conversation in bed this season with his game.
