Jennifer Lawrence suffered an injury in the ‘Don’t Look Up’ set as the stunt went wrong

Jennifer Lawrence allegedly sustained an injury while filming her next movie, Netflix’s Do not look up.

The film, which will be shot in Massachusetts, will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Cate Blanchett and more.

Lawrence was on set and filmed when a stunt explosion did not go according to plan and caused glass shards to fly. The actor was hit by a fragment in the face near her eye during the overnight shooting. According to reports, she is expected to be well after the accident.

The star plays astronomer Kate Dibiasky Do not look up, which tries to warn the world that the earth is in danger of being hit and destroyed by an approaching asteroid.

The film is written and directed by The big shortsays Adam McKay and is currently expected to be released sometime in 2021.

Meanwhile, Lawrence will also play and produce the upcoming film for true crime Mob Girl, based on a story from the Pulitzer Prize winner. The film centers around Arlyne Brickman, the wife of a New York mob boss who becomes an FBI informant.

Lawrence’s most recent release was X-Men: Dark Phoenix, in which she portrays her role as Raven. The film was critically acclaimed, with NME writes in a two-star review: “Dark Phoenix is the worst to be the loudest and most shocking death throes. It’s far from a triumphant farewell, but it’s the worst film of the whole series and one that goes out with the most indifferent moan.
