Five people, including two children killed in mass shooting in York County, say officials – WSOC TV

YORK COUNTY, SC – Five people were found dead in a house on Marshall Road in Rock Hill on Wednesday afternoon.

The Coroner’s Office of York County has responded to reports of multiple deaths in a home.

According to officials, the occupants of the house, dr. Robbert Lesslie, along with his wife, Barbara Lesslie, were found dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the coroner’s office, their 5-year-old grandson Noah Lesslie and their 9-year-old granddaughter Adah Lesslie were also found dead inside the house with gunshot wounds.

A fifth victim was found outside the home. Officials identified him as James Lewis of Gastonia. He was working from home during the incident.

Authorities said they had identified the suspect responsible for the shooting. They found him in a nearby house.

Detectives are in the area serving the search warrant. There is no active threat to the community.

Deputies said they were called at about 4:45 p.m., following reports of a shooting that involved several people at a home on Marshall Road.

Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the area and could see two medical helicopters and an ambulance responding to the scene before the delegates asked our helicopter to stop.

The York County Sheriff’s Office tweeted shortly after the shooting that detectives were looking for a man with a black hoodie and camo pants who was last seen in the area. Officials said he was possibly armed and dangerous and residents should lock their doors and stay inside.
