Evan Fournier is the second Celtics player in 25 seasons to achieve this feat

Evan Fournier bounced back from his hard start with the Boston Celtics in a big way on Friday night.

After scoring just six points in his first two games with the Cs, Fournier dropped 23 in the win over the Houston Rockets. Twenty of those points came in the fourth quarter when he was a perfect 7-for-7 from the field (6-for-6 from 3).

Time Lord puts together the best career match in the victory of C

The former Orlando Magic forward’s seven total three-pointers was a career highlight, but it was not his only impressive performance in the game. According to ESPN Stats & Info, Fournier has become the second C player to drop 20 to 100 percent shooting in a quarter over the past 25 seasons.

The last Celtic with such a quarter? It would be Paul Pierce, who scored 20 points in the third quarter of a 2009 game against the Chicago Bulls.

Not a bad company for the Celtics rookie to be in.

These figures from the Seltis-year-old Celtics radio voice really put Fournier’s stars’ fourth quarter in perspective:

Fournier will want to generate the momentum of Friday’s performance in the game against the Charlotte Hornets. Tip for the match is set for 18:00 ET.
