Tesla on Monday officially named CEO Elon Musk the title ‘Technoking of Tesla’.
Musk will retain his position as CEO, Tesla said. Zach Kirkhorn, chief financial officer of Tesla, also received a new title: ‘Master of Coin’.
The car company said in a document to the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday: “As of March 15, 2021, the titles of Elon Musk and Zach Kirkhorn and Master of Coin, respectively.”
It is unclear what gave rise to the new titles. Last month, the car company announced that it had bought $ 1.5 billion worth of bitcoin.
