Dunwoody man drowns out of Florida’s handle after dozens of water rescues – WSB-TV Channel 2

MIRAMAR BEACH, Florida – Delegates in Florida say a Georgia man is two men who drowned at the Florida Panhandle after dozens of people had to be rescued from rough waters earlier this week.

Deputies identified the man as a 55-year-old from Dunwoody. His name was not released.

The sheriff at Walton County said agencies did several water rescues on April 8 and pulled a dozen people out of the Gulf of Mexico at Miramar Beach.

There were red flags waving at the time indicating that there were high waves and strong tearing currents and that the “water was an incredible threat to human life.”

The other victim was a 21-year-old from Gray, Louisiana.
