Diablo 3’s eclipse of tristram kickback opportunity begins soon

Blizzard Entertainment is getting ready for the return of Diablo III’s Eclipse of the Tristram event, the annual celebration thrown by players in the old days of Diablo. Players will be able to live their steps back to “the earliest days of Diablo”, according to Blizzard, while also earning a new booty. The Darkening of Tristram 2020 event is scheduled to start on December 31st, with a few more phases of the event taking place in the days to come.

On the Blizzard website for the latest Diablo game, Blizzard has outlined the plans for Diablo III’s Darkening of the Tristram event. It begins on Dec. 31 at 4 p.m. PST when players encounter a group of trouble cultists in Sanctuary before opening a portal on Jan. 3 that allows players to delve deeper into the event. The darkening of Tristram is scheduled to continue thereafter until January 31st.

“Your journey begins on the trail of a group of mysterious cultists who are causing problems in Sanctuary,” Blizzard said of the upcoming Diablo III event. “If you hunt them in Adventure Mode, you will discover clues that lead to a portal into Tristram’s past and the terrifying darkness that the town took possession of so many years ago …”

Players can take the portal that will open in a few days to return to a cathedral that was in the original version Diablo games. A slaughter animal, banners, transmogrification effects and more rewards await in the cathedral for those who can find it.

“While some rewards are easy to find, it could be that you grind every corner or unlock every achievement before you get your hands on it,” Blizzard teased. Can you earn it all? There is only one way to find out! ”

Diablo III’s The darkening of the Tristram event starts on 31 December and will be fully operational by 3 January.
