‘Danger!’ star Ken Jennings apologizes for ‘insensitive’ tweets – including one about Barron Trump

“Danger!” star Ken Jennings says he’s sorry.

The 46-year-old reality star issued an apology on Twitter for comments he made jokingly – including one about Barron Trump, the youngest son of President Trump.

Jennings noted that his intended humor sometimes did not resonate with some readers in that way.

In the apology, he did not specifically mention any comments, but he has criticized several times in the past for mentioning various sensitive topics, such as the infamous photo Kathy Griffin shared of her about a replica of President Trump’s cut-off to keep head. .

According to a TMZ report, Trump’s son, Barron, who was only 11 at the time, believed the image was genuine, prompting a response from Jennings.

“Barron saw a very long tie and a pile of stale deli meat in a trash can,” Jennings tweeted through the New York Post. “He thought it was his father and his little heart was breaking.”

The tweet led to a beef with Donald Trump Jr., who mockingly called the participant in the games show ‘a real man’ to choose a child.

“Hey, I just wanted to accept the fact that I’ve definitely tweeted a few unarticulate and insensitive things over the years,” Jennings starts in a Twitter thread on Wednesday. “Sometimes they worked as jokes in my head and I was shocked to see them read on screen.”

The brainiac continued his apology on Wednesday, saying that when he gets setbacks over a particular tweet, he usually does not remove it so that it can be ‘immersed’, inspire a conversation, ‘smart answers and even advocacy’.

“Deleting it felt like it was a mistake,” Jennings continued. “But I think the practice gave the impression that I was standing by every failed joke I posted here. Not at all!”

He added: ‘Sometimes I say stupid things in a dumb way and I want to apologize to people who have (rightly!) Been offended. It was not my intention to hurt anyone, but it does not matter: I’m really sorry. ‘

The reality star concluded by saying that 2020 people have learned “that we should be kinder to each other”, and that he is looking forward to entering the new year with the knowledge.

There are a handful of other tweets that have gotten Jennings in a bit of trouble over the years as well.
