Celtics need to fire Brad Stevens to save their season

It was a rollercoaster season for the Boston Celtics. Combined with injuries, safety protocols and bad rotations, the team has yet to have a chance to make a turn in the Eastern Conference. Head coach Brad Stevens is currently in the hottest spot for Boston’s fight. The more his team struggles, the bigger Stevens is replaced as head coach.

For the most part. Stevens did a wonderful job of re-developing the Celtics into true candidates. The pressure was on him to change the dynamics of the organization to Boston’s three major periods. In Stevens’ eight seasons as Celtics head coach, he had a record of 333-263, along with three Eastern Conference finals. The question recently is what is next for Stevens as the leader on the sidelines? Is he the key to helping Boston win a championship? So far this season, it has not looked like that.

The Celtics definitely have injuries to deal with. The problem is that Stevens apparently can not motivate his players to play well. When we see the Celtics on the floor, the team has not been the same on both sides. The chemical problems Stevens had because he did not make sure his players were locked up. The terrible play on the floor also spilled out into the locker room, where Stevens apparently had no control either.

The Celtics may need to investigate Brad Stevens and bring in a new head coach. As a historic organization, it’s just as long where a team can wait for a coach to deliver a championship before it’s too late. Stevens seems to have hit the mark recently. As Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown continue to develop as franchise players, it is necessary to have the right coach to take them to the NBA Finals. Unfortunately, in his eight seasons, Stevens failed to make one final appearance. Since the Celtics have teams like Brooklyn and others on their way, their chances of getting it out of the East at this point are slim.

The next head coach coming in for the Celtics needs to understand the importance of this team’s valued players. The use of role players around stars is one of the most important factors to be successful. Players in Robert Williams, Payton Pritchard and others can make a huge contribution to Boston if given the opportunity. With the second half of the NBA season underway, the players need to be used to a greater extent to help the Celtics return to the winning column. It’s probably impossible for Boston to land a leading seed with the way they struggled. But there is still a chance the team can finish the season with momentum in their favor.

Both Brad Stevens and Danny Ainge seem to have a good working relationship. But as Ainge is known, he shows no fear in making decisions that will benefit the franchise. Brad Stevens’ term in office in Boston should come to an end. As the two Celtics stars continue to grow and mature, Boston’s front office needs to find a coach who understands what it takes to lead a team to an NBA championship.
