Abigail Breslin ‘in shock and devastation’ after father dies of coronavirus

Actor Abigail Breslin shared the news of her father’s death via Instagram and wrote that he passed away after contracting Covid-19. She posted five images of her father, Michael, along with a long caption that she said was ‘difficult to write’.

She wrote that she was in ‘shock and devastation’ after learning of his passing.

“At 6:32 PM EST, my sweet, perfect, wonderful, heroic, wonderful dada passed away after my family and I said goodbye,” Breslin wrote in the report published Friday.

She added that her father was a hilarious, noisy, stubborn, rebellious, intelligent, sweet, incredible human being. He loved life. He loved his family. He loved the simple things. ”

In another report published on February 10, she shared the news that her father tested positive for Covid-19 and was placed in a ventilator.

Breslin told her Instagram fans that her father liked a cup of coffee (black, 66 seconds hot). He loved a good Knish (but ONLY in the winter). He liked to fry (and although we liked brown mustard, he just wanted French’s Yellow).

‘He loved Breyer’s ice cream (strawberry, vanilla and chocolate NEO style). He loved doo-wop songs, specifically, “I Wonder Why” by Dion & The Belmonts and “Under The Boardwalk” by The Drifters.

When Breslin wrote that her father was an ‘animal lover’, he always liked to hear her stories about her pets.

She added: ‘He loved taking photos, flying planes, good dinners and music from the’ 50s and ’60s, good couches and Kenyan mountain coffee and funny YouTube videos and email threads and weird poems and politics. He loved me and he loved me brothers and he loved my mother. ”

She completed the emotional message and wrote, ‘And we loved him. And we will always do that. I miss your dad. I can not wait to see you again. I will never, ever, ever forget you. To the moon and back dada … Love, yours forever, Abs. ”
