Wayne Gallman signs with 49ers

The 49ers sign it Wayne Gallman walks back, reports Field Yates of ESPN.

Gallman, 26, visited the team earlier this week.

He stormed the Giants last season and took the lead after Saquon Barkley tore a front cruciate ligament. Gallman, a fourth-round pick in 2017, ran 147 times for 682 yards and six touchdowns in 2020. He also got 21 passes for 114 yards.

In his first three NFL seasons, Gallman ran 191 times for 762 yards and three touchdowns.

The 49ers have Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson and JaMycal Hasty in the back room. Tevin Coleman leaves for the Jets as a free agent, and Jerick McKinnon remains unsigned.
