More than 700,000 Utahns have been fully vaccinated; no new deaths.

For the third time in four days, Utah has not reported any new deaths due to COVID-19. And the number of residents who have been fully vaccinated is now more than 700,000.
At the same time, the number of new cases of coronavirus in the state climbed above 500 again for the first time since April 6, and the number of Utahs hospitalized with COVID-19 jumped 24 per day – an increase of 16%.
Vaccine doses administered in the past day / total doses administered • 30 243/1 768 246.
Utahns fully vaccinated • 714,923.
Cases reported in the past day • 530.
Deaths reported in the past day • No.
Tests reported in the past day • 8,155 people were tested for the first time. A total of 19,832 people were tested.
Hospitalizations reported in the past day • 148. It’s 24 from Tuesday. Of those currently admitted to the hospital, 59 are in intensive care units – the same as Tuesday.
Percentage of positive tests • According to the original method of the state, the rate is 6.5%. This is lower than the seven-day average of 7.7%.
The state’s new method counts all test results, including repeated tests of the same individual. Tuesday’s rate was 2.7%, lower than the seven-day average of 3.8%.
