Round 1 of the 2021 NCAA Tournament is in the books after a jam-packed few days featuring several overtime thrillers, 31 games in total, one non-game and a load of exciting outcomes. Now with 32 teams still standing, we go to the second round of Sunday in a slate that looks like a doozy.
The action begins with star power to line us all up with two number 1 seeds in the first games of the day – both want to maintain their standing on CBS. Illinois and Baylor scored 20+ points in the first round on Friday and could advance to the Sweet 16 on Sunday. For the Illini, it would be the first time since 2005, while it was the fourth time Baylor had advanced to the Sweet 16 under coach Scott Drew.
There are also numerous other games to watch, including the 3-seeded Arkansas and the 6-seed Texas Tech, the 15-seed Oral Roberts, as it looks like his Cinderella will be alive against the 7th Florida and No. 4-seeded Oklahoma State wants its former coach, Brad Underwood, with a potential win against Oregon, Oregon, no. 12 dare.
