Vaccination priority is extended to provincial residents aged 65 and over, which is effective immediately.
Groups currently prioritized for vaccination include:
- Age 65 and older – All residents of the country in this age group qualify.
- Emergency services – All law enforcement, firefighters and medical responders, including volunteers and paid staff.
- K-12 and early education, child care – All staff members, paid and volunteers, who work in a K-12 or early childhood education as educators or support staff. This includes assistants and office staff, as well as transportation, conservation, cafeteria and maintenance workers.
- Higher education – All educators and support staff.
- Phase 1A healthcare – All workers in this sector.
Depending on the availability of vaccines, Public Health expects to open vaccinations for the food and agricultural sector in the coming weeks.
At this stage, vaccinations are offered by invitation only. To sign up to be notified of available appointments:
- Fill in the online form “COVID-19 form of interest in vaccine for individuals:”
- Go to humboldtgov.org/InterestForm to fill out the interest form in English. Contact the Humboldt County Joint Information Center (JIC) at 707-441-5000 for assistance with completing the form.
- To complete the Spanish Vacancy Interest Form, visit humboldtgov.org/formulariadeinteres. To get help completing the form, call the Humboldt Condition’s Joint Information Center at 707-441-5000.
- You should receive a confirmation email from [email protected]. (Remember to check your junk folder.) Call the JIC at 707-441-5000 if you do not receive a confirmation email.
To sign up for an appointment when your age group or industry is open to vaccination:
- Public health or another local approved entity will contact you through the information you have submitted via the interest form.
- Check your email regularly for an appointment invitation from [email protected] or from your healthcare provider. (Remember to check your junk guide.)
- Follow the link in the email to register online for an appointment. It is recommended that you sign up for the first available appointment. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from [email protected]. Use the link in the confirmation email if you need to cancel.
- If the clinic is full or if you need to recreate an appointment, please use the link “Additional appointment request form” in the invitation email of [email protected].
If you do not have access to the Internet or a computer, call the JIC at 707-441-5000.
