Queen Elizabeth II is apparently sad after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombing interview with Oprah Winfrey aired on Sunday night.
“It is said that the queen, who has never conducted a formal media interview, was privately devastated by the shocking revelations and the possible damage to the royal family’s reputation,” royal writer Katie Nicholl told Vanity on Tuesday. Fair written.
“She is also deeply concerned about Prince Philip, who is staying in hospital and recovering from a heart procedure,” Nicholl added.
According to Nicholl, Buckingham Palace issued an official statement on Tuesday night after nearly 48 hours of meetings, crisis talks and private family talks.

“According to sources, the statement was designed to try to extinguish the flames after the couple’s dynamite interview,” Nicholl wrote.
Although it is not known whether the reigning king watched the interview privately, the 94-year-old was reportedly informed by palace aides during breakfast.
“Reportedly, the queen immediately convened a meeting with Charles and William to discuss what to do,” Nicholl wrote.
According to sources, the brief statement was approved by the senior royals who were eager to put out the fire.
Nicholl said Monday that Prince Charles, 72, was allegedly “in despair” after his youngest son, 36, spoke to Winfrey, 67.

“As Vanity Fair reported Sunday, Harry is sending an email to his father to justify why he and Meghan conducted the interview,” Nicholl wrote. “According to a friend, Charles is” in a state of despair, “he said.
A rep for the royal did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
The worldwide viewing of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s shocking seat with the media magnate is up to almost 50 million – and that counts. CBS, which originally broadcast the interview Sunday night, planned a rerun on Friday night.
Charles did not speak about the couple’s interview during a visit to a vaccination clinic in London on Tuesday. The visit was the Prince of Wales’ first public appearance since the sitting, and comes amid mounting pressure on Buckingham Palace to respond to the allegations.
Shortly afterwards, Buckingham Palace issued a 60-word statement.

“The whole family is sad to know how challenging Harry and Meghan have been over the past few years,” a Palace statement told Fox News on Tuesday. “The issues, especially the race, are relevant. Some memories may differ, but they are taken very seriously and will be addressed privately by the family.”
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be very close family members,” the statement concluded.
Representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not comment when Fox News reached out.
Harry told Winfrey the royal family cut him off financially in early 2020 after he planned to retire from his roles. But he was able to afford security for his family because of the money left behind by his late mother, Princess Diana.

He said his relationship with Charles was affected. He even noticed that Charles had stopped taking his calls.
“There’s a lot to work through,” Harry said of his relationship with his father. “I feel really disappointed. He’s been through something similar before. He knows how pain feels. And Archie is his grandson. I will always love him, but there is a lot of pain that has happened.”
Harry also admitted that he does not now have a close relationship with his brother, Prince William (38), who is the heir to the throne after Charles. He disputes rumors that he deliberately blinded the queen to his decision to divorce. He suspects the rumors are coming from the institution.
“I’ve never blinded my grandmother,” Harry said. “I have too much respect for her.”

In the interview, Markle, 39, described being so isolated and miserable in the royal family that she had suicidal thoughts, but when she asked for help for mental health from the palace staff, she was told that they can not help because she is not a paid employee.
She also said Harry told her there were ‘concerns and conversations’ about the color of her baby’s skin when she was pregnant with her son, Archie.
Winfrey later confirmed that Elizabeth and Philip, 99, were not part of the conversation.
After Harry and Markle got married in May 2018 in Windsor Castle, the royal family seemed to be welcoming the Duchess of Sussex, a glamorous former TV star. The pair are seen as a fresh young face for the monarchy of an increasingly multicultural nation.
It did not take long before the fairy tale unraveled.

The couple relinquished royal duties last year and eventually settled in California, saying they wanted to escape the racist coverage and unwanted invasion of their privacy by the British media.
During the interview, the duke and duchess told that they are expecting a girl who should be this summer.
