FLORIDA CITY, Fla. On Saturday, someone who was 18 or older with a doctor’s certificate or not, who met the requirements or did not meet, could get a COVID-19 recording at a FEMA site in Florida City.
It is unclear why workers fired shots into the arms of anyone 18 years and older, but it was possible that there was low demand at the site over the past week. However, Governor Ron DeSantis’ order stipulates that recipients in that age group must be in a high-risk category and must be signed by a doctor with a doctor’s letter or a fitness form.
The message quickly spread on social media about the shots for everyone in Florida City, who asked people on Sunday to get a chance in the Youth Activity Center.
Saima Haque said a tweet asked her to drive nearly 100 miles from Boynton Beach in hopes of getting the chance.

‘I saw a tweet on Twitter about people over 18 years old. They published yesterday and would do so today. “My father at home is ill, so we’re just trying to get it,” said Haque. “If it does not work, there is nothing we can do,” she said.
It did not work. In fact, the operators at the FEMA site returned to the governor’s order as soon as the site reopened Sunday morning.
Police in Florida City were ready to control the crowd and to get the message across. Many people who do not meet the requirements have been turned down.
The back-and-forth on the Florida City website prompted the mayor of Miami-Dade to issue a tweet aimed at urging the governor to expand the admission requirements.
‘Our top priority must be to get shots in the arms as quickly as possible and ensure that no available vaccine supply is unused. I call on the governor to expand the admission requirements to meet the huge demand in our community and across the state. ”
