APPLE is working on a new feature for its Find My app that lets you know when someone is watching you.
The setting is called “Article Security Alerts” and tells a user or an unknown device traveling with them to be detected on Find My.
This feature allows you to deactivate the suspicious device.
It is thought that the ‘unknown device’ may refer to rumored AirTag products that Apple has not yet announced.
Allegedly, AirTags are counterfeit devices that you can attach to items that you frequently lose, and then use your phone to find them.
However, there have been concerns that such a device could be used to stalk and detect a person if you connect an AirTag to it without them knowing.

The possible security feature to stop this issue was noted in the beta version of iOS 14.5.
The setting is allegedly enabled by default in the test version of the Apple software.
You can turn off the setting, but you will get a warning about unknown devices that can see your location without your knowledge.
Apple blogger Benjamin Mayo tweeted: “Something I have not considered before: new beta includes an article security setting in Find My.
“This is how Apple tries to prevent ‘stalking’ with AirTags.
“If someone secretly hides a label in your belongings, your phone will notice and warn you about it.”
Mayo and other Apple fans think the feature means AirTags could be on the way.
However, Apple can only create the security feature to protect people from the detection of devices that can already be found with the Find My app.
These include iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches.
As with all Apple rumors and features tested in beta, we can not be sure that the feature or the long-awaited AirTags on the market will come to the official word of Apple.
