Apex Legends fans have seen a weapon in the Chaos Theory development stream that has not been released, indicating that a ‘Marksman’ class will be appearing soon.
While Apex Legends poses characters with their own abilities, the formula is the same as other battle royals. Move into a place, plunder, destroy enemies and be the last team to achieve everyday victory.
While the best use of your abilities will help you achieve a victory, it is still the most important thing to make the best booty possible. You need to get weapons that enemies are going to pick.
These weapons are constantly undergoing buff and nerfs, and players are also offering their own suggestions for changes. However, it would seem that a brand new weapon type could come into play.
Apex Legends Season 8 has introduced a brand new weapon called the 30-30 Repeater, which is not quite a sniper.
During the recent Chaos Theory, where the Respawn team went through some changes in the battle royally in the next event, players were on the lookout for any slip.
They spotted one in the form of a ‘Marksman’ weapon type. While one of the developers was near a 3x HCOG Ranger range, read the labels indicating which weapon it could go on: Sniper, LMG, AR and Marksman.
This has, of course, given interest, given its brand new, but it’s not hard to guess what the Marksman type might be. Weapons like the G7 Scout and 30-30 Repeater, which are not snipers, nor Assault Rifles, fit in perfectly with what you would think of as a sniper rifle.

These streams of development have revealed many ‘new’ things in the past, including weapons and new equipment. However, many of these have not yet made it into the game, and work is usually done to balance issues.
Just setting up a new weapon shape probably won’t require a whole lot of balancing work, so we may see it soon. We’ll just have to wait and see.
