An example can be seen here.

The description of the report reads: “Thousands of protesters in pink hats gathered in Albany yesterday and demanded that Governor Andrew Cuomo resign for his growing incidents of sexual harassment.”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on March 3, 2021 that he would not resign following allegations that he had sexually harassed young women, but offered a new excuse and promised to “cooperate fully” with a review by the Attorney General of the State (here).

Cuomo said his behavior was unintentional and insisted he had never touched anyone improperly, but said it was’ customary for him to kiss and hug people.

The photo in the claim was taken by Voice of America photographer Brian MK Allen during the Women’s March which took place on January 21, 2017 in Washington, DC and other cities. It is visible here and here.

Photos of a demonstration in New York on March 2, 2021 in which Cuomo must resign can be seen here and here.

Local news reported a billboard of Cuomo’s face and the words ‘resign now’ did appear in early March 2021 in Albany, the capital of the state (here).

VERDICT

Untrue. The photo shows protesters during the Women’s Women’s March, not demonstrations in Albany calling for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign in March 2021.
