There was some movement in the bracket on Monday, especially at the bottom. Tuesday could bring even more fireworks, as there are some big games at the top of the bracket.

We got a surprise from a double head on Tuesday. It starts early, at 5pm ET, with the overall No. 3 seed Baylor venturing to West Virginia, a No. 2 seed. Even if Baylor are back to being themselves after their long COVID break, it’s a tough challenge. The Mountaineers hope to compete for the fourth number 1 seed.

The team currently at that location may not be too happy with its conference planner. Illinois travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to tackle overall No. 2 Michigan at 7 p.m. ET. As if a trip to the conference leader is not enough, the Illini will also play in Columbus, Ohio, Ohio on Saturday. Great way to finish the regular season. This is perhaps a preview of some matches from next week’s Big Ten tournament.

Monday movement

Monday began with the fact that Dayton is the Atlantic 10 champion in St. Louis. Bonaventure won, and the Bonnies dropped a line between the brackets. They were selected so that they would be one of the last four teams in the series if they were an overall candidate, but as the top-seeded in the A-10 tournament, they are currently projected in Bracketology as the automatic qualifier.

North Carolina made a brave return to Syracuse late, but only suffered a 72-70 defeat. That slipped the tar heels a few points and put them back in the last four in the field.

The most shocking result of the night was that Rutgers blew his doors in Nebraska. The Scarlet Knights lost 72-51 to the Cornhuskers on a day when Nebraska’s leading scorer, Teddy Allen, left the program.

Rutgers selected after the loss to a number 8, which was the first bad loss of the season.
