Facebook has launched a brand new platform called BARS, where users can rap short cuts of themselves and free up over reports.
Like TikTok, each video will be limited to 60 seconds. Once users record their videos in the app, they can distribute them on various social media. Users who encounter freestyles that they like can respond with fire emojis.
The app is still in the early testing period and, according to some sources, does not appear to be completely intuitive. There is no pause button and it is not easy to figure out how to follow other users. But these issues will presumably be resolved once Facebook decides to officially launch the app. In addition, the app has features for auto-setting and rhyming dictionaries, along with freestyle games, where users are expected to work in auto-generated words after their freestyle.
In January, Instagram acknowledged TikTok’s innovation, while mentioning that it is not yet satisfied with its own platform Reels.
