For the first time since Willie Allen, former LSU and Louisiana Tech striker, pledged to the Wolverines last year, Michigan football has added a player from the NCAA transfer portal.
Alan Bowman, from the 2018 recruiting class, was a three-star full-back from Grapevine (TX). Bowman, a pro-style QB, played three seasons at Texas Tech, where he completed 67% of his passes for 5,260 yards and 33 touchdowns to 17 distinctions on 713 attempts. And on Sunday, he was taking part in a quarterback fight between Cade McNamara and former five-star JJ McCarthy, when he announced on Twitter that he was committed to the Wolverines.
While playing 19 games in three seasons, he retired his sophomore year and has two more years in consideration.
