“Saturday Night Live” had some rare complaints about Liberals and Joe Biden during its “Weekend Update” segment.
After weeks of criticism for apparently ignoring Biden’s government, the program’s parody news segment managed to take a few shots at the 46th president as well as his Liberal supporters at Saturday’s show.
Hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che set the ball rolling by sharing the news that the House of Representatives passed a $ 1.9 billion coronavirus stimulus package late Friday night.
“Just like me when I’m drunk, Congress decided to spend a lot of money at 2:30 in the morning,” Jost began. “They’ve accepted a $ 1.9 billion stimulus bill and Republicans call it a ‘liberal wish list.'”

He added: “I do not know, I think a liberal wish list would be an avocado toast with Chrissy Teigen, a free pet college and a hip-hop musical about Anderson Cooper starring Lin-Manuel Miranda. “

Although the hosts apparently do not often mock the left, Jost then joked about Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who is opposed to raising the federal minimum wage.
“Because Graham has loved the taste of fast food over the years,” Jost said.
Che took the reins and jumped left again, referring to another minimum wage critic, Republican Senator John Thune.
“Senator John Thune said he opposed the $ 15 minimum wage because he had previously finished at $ 6 an hour when he was a young man,” Che began. “But it was like 40 years ago when rent was like a dollar and everyone had one porn band. That’s why Democrats never get things right. You keep voting and take ‘no’ for an answer. As Republicans a voice, they storm into the capital. Why can’t you go so crazy? Say what you want from a guy in a Viking helmet crashing into Nancy Pelosi’s desk, but he will not be ignored! “
‘WEEKEND UPDATE’ HOWEVER MOCK SEN. TED CRUZ AFTER HE ‘LEAVED TEXAS’ FOR CANCUN JOURNEY
Che also praised Biden for his plan to increase the rise of coronavirus vaccines in black communities by vaccinating more churches.
“I’m sure Biden means well, but it’s such an old white old idea,” the comedian shook his head. “You know the idea started with the words ‘Hey, do you know what people like?’
Jost kept the political comedy rolling and also mocked Senator Ted Cruz and former President Donald Trump, who will speak at the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference on Sunday.
“For a preview of Trump’s speech, give your grandfather cocaine,” Jost said of what Trump’s first public speech will be since leaving office on January 20.

He also noted that Cruz also spoke at CPAC. In his speech, he draws attention to his recent political outburst that criticized him for taking a vacation to Cancun, Mexico with his family, while people in his state endured a deadly storm that left millions without power.

“Yes, no, stop,” Jost said after a clip of the speech being played. “You do not do it. No, you are not kidding. It is not for you to enjoy.”
