Stage scene in Montmartre
The painting Scene of Calm in Montmartre (Callejon de los hermanos y del Molino de Pimienta) was painted in the primavera of 1887 during the period in which Van Gogh lived in Paris (1886-1888) and showed a passing passage by the hill of Montmartre.
This painting, which was in a private collection in France during a sail and which has not been seen in public since then, will be the star of the impressive artistry that both houses will celebrate in Paris on March 25th.
