Conwell shot Duluth police officer K-9 Luna Thursday night. Luna was taken to a local pet hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
A march for Luna began at the animal hospital on Saturday and ended at a cremation facility in Scanlon.
Duluth police officers responded to a report of a possible domestic disturbance on the 2300 block of West Fourth Street around 8pm on Thursday around 8pm. Conwell shot Luna while officers searched the home.
The uprising began shortly thereafter when the Duluth Tactical Response Team was sent to the scene, according to the BCA.
The Emergency Response Team of the Sheriff in St. Louis County took over after 10 p.m. The strike ended when Sheriff Conwell’s deputy deputies were fatally shot at around 4pm on Friday.
The BCA did not identify the delegates who fired their weapons during the incident. Luna was the only law enforcement member injured during the absence.
BCA investigators examined the body footage and questioned officers involved in the incident to get a complete picture of what happened.
