Emmanuel Acho presents as ‘The Bachelor: After the Final Rose Special’, replacing Chris Harrison

Acho, the host of the YouTube series ‘Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man’, announced on Saturday that he will be hosting the one-hour show for the 25th season.

“I accepted the Rose and am honored to present the @bachelorabc to the final rose this year,” Acho tweeted. “It was a crucial season and this episode will be one of the most shows in its history. Empathy is needed and change is coming. See you then!”
Harrison announced on February 13 that he was “stepping down from the program” for a period of time “after defending a current season frontrunner who has been spotted by social media photos from her past.

Harrison apologized after speaking on behalf of Rachael Kirkconnell, a contestant who was allegedly photographed in 2018 at an antebellum plantation-themed fraternity formal.

It is unclear how long Harrison will go aside.

This is the 25th season of ABC’s hugely popular reality franchise and the first in which ABC portrayed a black man, Matt James, as the star of the show.

During the episode, Acho will ‘sit down with Bachelor Matt James to discuss his season, his final decision and where he is now and discuss current events about the franchise’, ABC said in a press release.

The author on air and the bestseller will also speak to the last three women of the season: Kirkconnell, Michelle Young and Bri Springs.

The special episode airs on Monday, March 15, immediately following the season finale of ‘The Bachelor’.
